Pier-2 Art Center
Located in the Port of Kaohsiung, the Pier-2 Art Center was once warehouses for fishmeal and sugar. Now, it has been transformed into a hub for arts and culture, consisting of three warehouse complexes: Dayi, Dayong, and Peng Lai. Visitors can explore unique stores along the streets and enjoy various themed markets and events on weekends, such as the iconic music festival, "MAGAPORT Festival," a favorite among Taiwan's youth. Accessible by MRT, light rail, and bus, it's a must-visit destination in Kaohsiung!

National Kaohsiung Center for the Arts (Weiwuying)
National Kaohsiung Center for the Arts (Weiwuying) is located next to the Weiwuying Metropolitan Park in Fengshan District. Inspired by the local banyan tree and its iconic canopy of leaves, architect Francine Houben's design is an undulating structure with a distinctive skin and roof, with generous free space underneath. Inside the center is a fenceless plaza open 24 hours a day for strolling, relaxing, and more, creating a breezy and welcoming space where theater and music can become part of daily life.
Weiwuying include flagship productions, artist-in-residence exchanges, cooperation in international exhibition programs, cross-domain creative connections, and the hosting of the Weiwuying International Forum, the FACP Asian Cultural Promotion Alliance Annual Conference, and the WOW Kaohsiung World Women's Arts Festival, among other things, to deepen the alliance between international partners and to build a bridge between Taiwanese artists and the international arena. It is accessible by MRT and bus.

Ruifeng Night Market
Taiwan's most famous nightlife is the night market, with a variety of mobile stalls, want to be surprised to come to the night market to look for treasures, where there is a variety of food, drink, fun, and experience Taiwan's unique culture together!
Ruifeng Night Market is located in the Zuoying District of Kaohsiung, and the number of stalls has exceeded 1,000 during the peak period, which can be said to be the largest night market in Kaohsiung with a history of more than 20 years, and there is a department store shopping district nearby to provide customers with a variety of shopping choices, making it the most prosperous place in North Kaohsiung.

International Vegetable Calture Festival
Since 2005, The Merit Times has been organizing vegetarian expos with the spirit of "vegetarianism, environmental protection, and love for the Earth," promoting eco-friendly vegetarianism in collaboration with industry, government, academia, and the public, and driving the healthy development of the vegetarian industry ecosystem.This year marks the second International Vegetarian Culture Festival held after the end of the pandemic. With the theme of "Environmental Protection and Mindfulness," the festival aims to infuse vegetarianism with the spirit of sustainability and contribute to the goals of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Nanhua University will set up a booth at the vegetarian expo and promote the 2024 Organic World Congress, which will be held in Taiwan from November 30th to December 6th this year. The theme of both events revolves around organic practices, environmental protection, and love for the Earth, aiming to instill sustainable concepts in our hearts. We welcome friends from all walks of life to take all their family along and join us in celebrating the International Vegetarian Culture Festival and the 2024 OWC together!

IFOAM Introduction
IFOAM, the International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movements, is the most significant non-profit organic agriculture organization worldwide. It consists of over 500 organizations related to organic agriculture in more than 100 countries, including associations of farmers, consumers, processors, and traders, as well as research, promotion, and training institutions. Currently, 26 Taiwanese organizations have joined as members of IFOAM.
IFOAM aims to promote the exchange of knowledge and specialized techniques among its members and to advocate for the development and reform of international organic agriculture to various national parliaments, administrative bodies, and policymakers. It also develops and regularly revises international standards for organic agriculture and processing, making international quality assurance of organic agricultural products possible.
Every three years, IFOAM organizes an international organic exchange congress, the Organic World Congress (OWC), which addresses relevant topics such as agricultural resilience, social transformation, food sovereignty, and more. The 21st OWC will be held in Taiwan from November 30th to December 6th, 2024, for 7 days. 標題：南華大學召開2024有機世界大會說明會，敬邀各界共襄盛舉
內容：
國際有機農業聯盟(International Federal of Organic Agriculture Movement, IFOAM)成立於1972年，倡議不用農藥之有機栽植。發展至今，全世界已有超過一千個團體加入會員，每三年在不同國家，辦理有機世界大會(Organic World Congress, OWC)及會員大會，最近一期於2021年於法國辦理，受新冠肺炎影響，以線上參加為主，為此2024年之OWC之舉辦，備受會員關注，眾人期待能於疫情之後，能夠實體辦理，讓全世界有機人士齊聚一堂。
2022年蔡英文總統宣示，台灣將於2050年達到淨零碳排，其中以自然為本的固碳方案最為重要，即是以有機耕作來減少土地破壞、增加土壤微生物，進而達到增加土壤碳匯之目的；而台灣在農業部農糧署推動下，有機耕作面積，已由1999年821公頃成長至2020年15411公頃，成為推動土壤碳匯的重要基礎。
此次各種因緣巧合下，原定主辦國放棄辦理，在農業部前部長陳吉仲承諾支持經費，有機農業大使陳世雄、亞洲分會Jeniffer Chang及台灣原住民族學院促進會金惠雯女士爭取下，IFOAM同意由台灣主辦第21屆世界有機大會，並由南華大學永續中心代表台灣與IFOAM簽署。二月份高俊雄副校長立刻組台灣代表團，前往德國紐倫堡，與CSC所有成員召開實體會議，並於世界最大有機展BIOFACH正式宣告台灣主辦OWC，隨後推舉南華大學林聰明校長、中興大學法律系高玉泉教授及台灣最大有機米銀川米梁美智董事長，擔任台灣會議代表，與亞洲區代表及IFOAM代表，成立大會指導委員會。同時南華大學並成立專案辦公室，由林聰明校長任辦公室主任、林辰璋副校長擔任總執行長，並由鄭絢文總務長及洪耀明教授，分別擔任行政及活動副執行長，整合校內資源及社會資源，一起推動辦理此國際盛事。
經過初步擬定後，會議日期已確認為十一月三十日至十二月六日，包含兩天會前會、三天有機世界大會以及後兩天IFOAM會員大會。以「培育有機解決方案以實現真正的永續發展」(Cultivating Organic Solutions for True Sustainability)為主題，並依四個面向提供投稿及工作坊申請包括：一、提升有機與農業生態之政策，二、知識與實務分享，三、根植於有機耕作原則蓬勃的有機市場，以及四、文化與有機生活型態。讓台灣可以不用出國，就有機會進行國際交流，並提供中英文口譯服務，讓台灣有機農業的願景、法規、政策和農法與國際接軌。國內於三月二十八日由林聰明校長帶領專案辦公室，舉辦第一次說明會，並與與會大眾座談，回應大家的需求，也廣納各方建議，更期待召集各界相關政府單位、學者、廠商共同參與，讓台灣有機農業的成果，登上國際舞台。
